Evelyn Blake, that is! You may remember her momma’s maternity session earlier this summer. This sweet girl is a DOUBLE Rainbow Baby. She is long awaited and much prayed for little girl.
What is a Rainbow Baby?
We all know that rainbows typically come after a storm… the sky is usually dark- but a ray of sunshine shines through the water droplets and creates a rainbow. (Very loose science lesson there folks!) “Rainbow Babies” are babies that are born after a loss. It may be a miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. This period of loss is considered the dark sky or storm in the parent’s life. A ray of light (or hope) shines through… and the rainbow (baby) is the beautiful reminder of hope and renewal after something dark and scary.

I wanted to honor the the rainbow theme to the fullest! I brought in rainbow items from three different vendors. You can find those linked under each coordinating image! The studio was in full rainbow mode for Blake!
Blake is one loved little girl, her parents simply adore her! I am lucky to be the one to document all of her first year milestones through their Belly to Birthday Plan! You will be seeing a lot of this sweet nugget over the last year.
