A Colonial Williamsburg Extended Family Session
The Thomas family came to me for a very special extended family session. Half of the family lives here in Virginia and the other half lives in Hawaii! I think that is the furthest any client has traveled for a session! Of course my top recommendation for a location is always Colonial Williamsburg! I know they best spots there like the back of my hand. You can see for yourself below!
The story of the Thomas Family: ‘Ohana means love.
But before I roll out some of their amazing images, I want to tell you a little about this group. It all starts with Drake and Maureen, the Patriarch and Matriarch of the Thomas Family. I don’t know that I have ever had the pleasure of working with such smitten kittens before! You can tell that they are very much in love and that they have laid a strong foundation for their two boys; Sea and Sterling. I like to think that Mike and I will be just like Drake and Maureen when we’ve been married for several decades. (You will have to check back on that!!)
Sterling’s fiancé Suzi couldn’t join in the long trip from the West Coast, but we were sure to take a shot that she can hopefully be edited into later! (pssst! Sterling! If you two haven’t hired a photographer yet… I would travel out for your wedding in a heartbeat! Just putting that out there…)
Then there is Sea, his lovely wife Caitlyn and the kids; Boston, Kainoa, Pace and Zephyr. All of them are amazing in their own right. Just like the grandparents, you can just see the love oozing out of these guys! The boys were champs. They happily following all of my directions, are so loving with their new baby sister and wearing in the coolest duds. To be honest- everyone was dressed impeccably. Who would ever say no to authentic Hawaiian shirts?? Not this girl! And Zephyr- the only time she wasn’t blissfully content was when she was hungry. And who can blame a girl for that!?
I don’t always get to know so much about these large groups, but every once in a while I have one what pulls me into their Ohana and and make me feel like one of their own. Many thanks to the Thomas Family for inviting me to be just a teeny, tiny part of your story!
Until next time!
