Back to my second most happy place (second behind Disney, of course!!), Colonial Williamsburg! This time it is with the Dowd family! Consisting of a momma and daddy (both photographers, by the way!), a sweet boy and two sweet little girls… all of whom gave me their best despite wanting no part of a photo session while on vacation. Photographer child syndrome is universal- no one understands this better than a fellow photographer!!
Taking Colonial Williamsburg by storm: The Dowd Family visits JBPs favorite spots!
Both of these amazing parents are photographers in the New England area. (eek!) I am always a little nervous when working for another photographer… but it’s such a huge compliment that they booked me! Read on mom and dad- I think I did you proud and captured the essence of your beautiful family in both posed and candid shots!
The nerve wracking part of working with another photographer is that they know the ins and outs of the photography world! The great part is that they know the ins and outs of this world!! The Dowd’s showed up in a big way! Their outfits are spot on- and they already knew that despite the kids being less than thrilled, I would get great shots of their family. That trust is the key to a parent relaxing and enjoying their session. The goal was to have a great family photo for their wall… what do you think Dowd Fam, did we get it!?
